Fine, pure wines aged with patience
Our winemaking philosophy is deeply rooted in the past, embracing the patience of slow aging and a commitment to purity.
Our winery in Remanzacco, specifically in the hamlet of Orzano, is the only one in town. That’s because the stones and gravel at the foothills of the pre-Alpine valleys in this part of Friuli’s Grave region demand dedication. But for those undeterred, the reward is in the quality.
The father of the current owner understood this well. Since 1967, he cultivated and sold grapes while also aging a simple wine to share with friends—one shaped by nature, human hands, and time. Even then, he was crafting what today is known as organic, locally sourced wine.
He aged it patiently, allowing it to reach its full essence. He would sip it in his 19th-century villa, at the heart of the estate, reflecting on how both his home—built upon even older, historically rich foundations—and his wines gained depth, character, and prestige from the passing of time.

Exceptional Bottles, Second-Generation Craftsmanship
The story of Vigne del Malina was written in the land, flowing naturally toward its realization—quite literally. It could not be ignored.
In Orzano, Mr. Alberto’s wine was beloved. In 2007, his son Roberto, now the owner, proudly embraced this family tradition, completely renovating the winery and dedicating all their grapes to crafting refined, expertly aged wines—just as he had witnessed for decades.
Of the estate’s 200 hectares of cultivated land, only a select ten are devoted to producing exceptional wines.
This special area is embraced by the Malina and Ellero streams, which converge on our land—forming the shape of a wine glass. Coincidence? We took it as a good omen for our winemaking journey and made it our company logo.
From that moment on, tradition has been accompanied by progress. But only essential modernity—without artificial interventions—where time remains the true master.

A Quality-Driven Production, Opening New Horizons
A limited number of bottles—around 45,000 per year—and not every year. A mark of distinction.
We respect nature and its rhythms: no chemical treatments, frequent manual interventions, careful pruning to preserve only the best vines, and meticulous thinning to ensure each plant nurtures around one kilogram of grapes—bathed in the sun until reaching ideal maturity.
Then comes hand-harvesting in crates, followed by vinification in the nearby winery, with aging in barrels and bottles. This is the time of eager anticipation. Some years, there will be no wine for sale—if the vintage doesn’t meet our high standards. What do we do? We wait for the next harvest because nature cannot be rushed.
On this strong foundation, the third generation has now arrived at the estate with Erica. Her mission: to strengthen our legacy.
It’s time to share our story more widely, to welcome visitors to our estate through our newly built agriturismo—featuring a wine bar, wine shop, osteria, and soon, guest rooms—and to offer new experiences.
Vigne del Malina: Wines of Time. Even nature has taken centuries to carve a wine glass shape into our land, through the course of the Malina and Ellero streams.

Let our wines tell their story.
